A : Yes its reef safe, you may not of seen our racking systems in house but we have independent systems that house fish only, inverts and nems only and then corals and all our systems have had Nexus dosed into them for the last 4 months with no adverse effects.
Q : I’ve dosed Nexus once and the hair algae hasn’t gone, why ?
A : If you have high PO4 levels you will need to dose Nexus daily too being down your PO4 level quickly and effectively, once then when your PO4 level is under 0.03 it will starve the algae and then you will see a decrease in your GHA
Q: My Phos level is high can I dose more than 5ml per 100L
A: If its high then yeah you can dose more than the 5ml per 100L to bring it down quicker, we don’t recommend you reduce your PO4 level by more then 1ppm within a 24 hour period
Q: Where do I tip it into my tank?
A : We recommend that you tip Nexus into your wool/filter sock if you have a sump and if you are running external filters then tip it close to your outlet that takes the water back to the filter.
Q: How long will the cloudiness last ?
A : usually this will clear within 20 minutes
Q: Once I have got my PO4 level down, what do I do ?
A : Once your PO4 level is under 0.03 ppm we recommend that you continue to use Nexus once a week in order to continue to keep your PO4 within the recommended levels, if your PO4 rises over a week to more than what a 5ml per 100L dose will do then you can increase it to 10ml per 100L once a week etc in order to only dose once a week and keep your tank within the recommended levels.
Q: How does it work ? A: Nexus on impact with water initiates a bond between calcium and phosphate to instantly trap and lock away phosphate. On impact Nexus will create a foggy appearance and this is the reaction showing you that phosphates are being locked away, This will clear up normally within 20 minutes. Once phosphate has been locked away it will remain insoluble until removed by mechanical filtration
